What is a crown and bridge?
Crown: It is the process of reducing and covering the teeth that have excessive material loss due to caries, fractures or any other reason.
Bridge: It is the process of reducing the adjacent teeth in the absence of one or more teeth and filling the gaps by taking support from the special materials on it.
When tooth loss occurs for any reason, neighboring teeth begin to move towards this space. As a result, gingival problems in the adjacent teeth, bone loss leading to tipping into this space, deterioration in aesthetics and changes in chewing forces occur. If this gap is not restored with an implant or bridge for a long time, these adjacent teeth may also be lost. The migration of the teeth may result changes in bite and cause to jaw joint-muscle problems.
